hey! this is my second attempt at writing this book. the original is still up, but i was super young when i started it, so i don't recommend reading it. You can use they/them pronouns for me, any feedback is appreciated!
Gerard Way x Reader, if you're lost. he's in a band called my chemical romance, or mcr.
this takes place around 2002-2003, when revenge was being recorded. TWs for drug abuse and self harm! i'll add trigger warnings at the beginning of potentially triggering chapters, and little summaries at the end so that no one misses anything :)
they have long blue hair, light grey eyes, and black ray ban glasses. She's lived in california her whole life, before deciding it's time for a change. She cut off contact with her father as soon as she moved out, causing a few more problems than she had realized. Get to know them even more as you read :)

Frank Iero is struggling with his battle against drugs and depression when he meets artist Gerard Way in a coffee shop. The pair immediately hit it off, and begin their new lives together despite their many issues. - "Homophobic comments are not tolerated here," she pointed her nose in the air as she frowned down dramatically at Gerard. She crossed her arms aggressively causing her ponytail to sway behind her. "Listen kid, I'm the biggest fag in this place, so I'll make all the homophobic comments I like, 'kay?" Way sneered back, raising his eyebrows confrontationally and continuing to chew on the stirrer. She stared at him in disgust as Frank giggled, "It's true, he owns pink tools," he pointed out before she rolled her eyes and stomped away. "The color of the tools doesn't impede their ability to be tools- wait why are you digging around in the closet?" Gerard asked as he waved the stirrer around. "Why do you keep pink tools in the closet?" "Tools. I keep tools in the closet because where the fuck else am I going to keep them? Frank's parents died over a year ago which has caused him to spiral into a big heat of depression. He's angry, tired, and doesn't care. Gerard is tired of seeing his friend like this, so he hires him an at-home therapist. She's happy, sweet, and very optimistic. It's basically an odd couple situation. ~no I am not romanticizing depression, I am trying very hard not to do that, Frank just happens to be depressed, she won't be "curing him" with kisses or whatever, that's unrealistic, she's there to help him through this :) With that being said, if any of you guys need someone to talk to, I'm here.
