Corrupt Love

The Corrupt. Monsters among society. Supposedly ravenous shadow beasts that possessed dark magic, they were to be killed immediately on sight. When the clock striked midnight it was said these monsters became murderers, hunters of the night. Therefore they were to be killed on sight, so they hid within the world; pretending to be normal, some even claimed that they were.

Witches. Said to be in this world to dispose of the Corrupt. Witches were blessed with an ability, one you wouldn't be aware of until the presence of a Corrupt activated it. Rumors had it that Witches had a special physical feature that had to do with their ability or even a glowing aura. Unfortunately due to shrinking population Witches were legally required to become Hunters.

But both of these beings had one thing in common, whether or whether not you became one wasn't genetic. It was entirely random. It was that reason that frightened the public of their existence, Witches and Corrupt both.

Astrix October. A young man born a Corrupt, and thankfully hidden for the past 9 years. Astrix's dark magic is the ability to feel, but somewhere in his life something went wrong and now every full moon he performs a ritual that rids him of emotions for the month. It's been so long he's almost forgotten what it feels like to be happy or sad. Then everything changes at his new fancy school when a boy who appears to glow interrupts Astrix's ritual.
