Koen Michael was your average high school outcast and bad boy. He stuck around a small group of boys with a similar persona. His upbringing was hard - raised by his grandparents, his parents riddled with addiction and jail history. Koen believes that success, family, and friends is not in the cards for him. He battles the choice of leading his life similar to his exposure or lead a life completely away from what was taught to him.

Birdie Robertson moved from a specialized school to public schools to gain experience of new friendships, exposure to different high school experiences, and at the chance of new opportunities of learning. A down to earth sweet-heart that sees the best in people will soon be vulnerable to Koen Michael.

This story of two people from two different worlds will learn the life of an addict and a person who loves an addict.
