The Marketton Mall of America was built to be a shining beacon in the otherwise unimportant Marketton, Missouri. It would bring business and job opportunities for the local populace, as well as put the town on the figurative map. But during its twilight years, a young boy enters its doors, never to be seen again.

Moira Diggory, a recently dropped-out journalism student, returns to her hometown just as the police effort dissipates, with no further advancement on the case. With no help from law enforcement, she takes it upon herself to figure out the mystery behind missing boy, but what will she find when she digs deeper?
