Amelia Barnum grew up with her parents telling her that she could do anything she wanted. She grew up loving to do tricks and dance around the rooftop of their small apartment complex.

After her father, Phineas T. Barnum, gets a grand idea, Amelia joins his circus of performers so that people can hear her voice and see her natural-born talents. But what happens when she questions her whole existence at the sight of a man she never thought she could ever be equal to?

What happens when the greatest romance of her life comes with many trials? Will their love rewrite the stars?

***Disclaimer***
I do not own any rights to the movie. And this is not historically accurate to the actual Phineas T. Barnum and his circus. The character inspiration for Amelia Barnum is Lily Collins.

Remus was so beautiful; it physically hurt to look at him. "Hey, Remus." The other boy glanced up, amber eyes crinkling in the corners as he smiled. "Hello Pads." ~ meet sirius black: artistic, punk rock, as straight as a rainbow and not afraid to show it. plus he's a dog person. meet remus lupin: musical, owns too many jumpers (if that's even a thing), as straight as a rainbow and very much too terrified to show it. he is also a dog person. nobody saw it coming. well, i mean, apart from james, peter, lily, marlene, dorcas, alice, regulus, severus, pretty much all the students actually, mcgonagall, dumbledore, filch, mrs norris.....yeah, ok, let me rephrase my original statement. sirius and remus never saw it coming. everyone else? oh, pur-LEASE. ~ He sighed. "It's weird, isn't it?" "What is?" "The best people tend to think the worst of themselves." *** disclaimer: this might surprise you, but i .... *whispers* ....... don't actually ....... own ........ harry potter .......... *cries in fangirl* nope. that right goes to j.k. rowling. this is just another muggle a.u. there are loads of them. check them out. plus the a d o r a b l e fanart on the cover isn't mine either. it belongs to space dementia, who is an artist on tumblr. if you happen to be them, i have two things to say: thank you, sorry, and the artwork is awesome. B R O K E N; free. Before the Storm ~ The Greatest Showman ~ Anne X Phillip by journalist_wannabe12
18 parts Complete
Anne Wheeler is a misunderstood, colored woman who was a slave up until she was 20 years old. She's reunited with her brother WD when slavery is abolished, and he convinces her to do a trapeze act with him in P.T. Barnum's Circus. But when she meets a questionable, supposedly no-good man named Phillip Carlyle, things in her life take a turn. In this story, Anne battles through discrimination, assault, and heart ache. When you're reading this story I can promise you one thing. Feels. This story starts at the beginning of 'The Greatest Showman.' I have no rights to the movie or the characters. Fic rated: PG-13 for some adult themes and mild language. Warning: There are adult themes in this story. There will be notices in a chapter that contains them before and after they happen. All of these themes (examples: self-harm, assault) are mildly used, and they all have negative outcomes. I'm not adding these things to the story to promote them. I'm just simply adding them to make the romantic plot more interesting. If you are struggling with a mental illness, or have been assaulted, do not hesitate to get help. You are important. And I love you. If you need help, talk to someone you trust, seek therapy or (in extreme cases) call 1-800-273-8255. I'm always open to talk to if someone needs it. 💕 Rankings: #12: greatestshowman #1: anneandphillip #2: annexphillip #1: zacandzen #2: Lettie #5: Carlyle #3: wd Text Copyright © journalist_wannabe12 ™ 2018 © All Rights Reserved ® journalist_wannabe12 ™

MAYA REYES didn't exactly think of herself as popular. I mean, she was nice, kind, and occasionally funny, but she didn't think of herself as popular. Considering the fact that her highlight of camp was Dionysus coming up to her in the middle of dinner one night and saying, "that one's mine," before walking off for more Diet Coke, her camp life wasn't that interesting compared to others. So, Maya gets used to the shadows. Climbing up onto the roof of the Big House during pegasus riding to sneak in a few naps, drawing stick figures into the dirt during capture the flag, and totally not staring at Percy Jackson whenever he comes to camp. But, when the prospect of war comes to the borders of camp and the Labyrinth reopens, Maya finds herself thrown out of the shadows and into the limelight of a quest with people she's only ever heard about in camp, including Percy. Drawing stick figures may be hard, but going on a quest is even harder, and Maya finds herself questioning her worth as the weight of the world rests on her shoulders. Yet, a child of Dionysus should never be underestimated, especially when they're buzzed. ------------------------------------------ [percy jackson x fem!oc] [pjo: book four (the battle of the labyrinth) - book five (the last olympian)] [updates fridays/weekends]
