The sea and the sky shared water freely with one another until the sky began to hoard the water. Enraged and a little afraid of being destroyed by having no water, the sea lashed out at the sky. Where the sea wounded the sky, clouds formed. Where the sky struck the sea, islands formed. The sea created gods to fight its battles, and the gods created humans. Generations have passed since the sea and sky were last at war, but the peace is fragile.
