Arthur Kirkland takes high pride in his work as a librarian, despite loving his job and wishing nothing more of his life even with the infuriating costumers who often cross his path, news begins to make headlines out of state, drawing people near and making his life less than easy to navigate in his small town. Especially, when a certain someone come's lurking in his business. 
Alfred Jones is a detective deployed to the small town of Jacksonville, Illinois in order to uncover the rising swing of recent homicides, believed to be done by a well put together organization and stumping him in his tracks. Only to find much more than he bargained for.
