For as long as she could remember, Catherine had spent most of her time locked away, enclosed in a tiny cell. 'He' kept her prisoner, tortured her, observed her - waited impatiently for her ablilities to blossom. She was 'his' creation but she longed for a life outside of 'his' influence, she craved and wished for freedom, until, finally she obtained it.

One faithful day she escaped and came across a humongous ancient, decrepit insane asylum and a mysterious masked-figure that resided within it, Jack. Two killers face-to-face spelled a recipe for disaster but there was something much bigger than them on the horizon, something almost apocalyptic in nature... 'He' wanted war.

To stand a chance, they would have to learn to trust each other; to fight, to cooperate with other supernatural entities and murders, and put their differences aside - and perhaps learn to love along the way. Their lives and the lives of many in Wisconsin now laid in the hands of this unlikely group of killers... but it was either that or die.
