"Never realised you would look like a Disney princess in a dress," said Jay, breaking the silence between
them. "Is that a compliment, Mr.Dawson?" replied Leah quietly, her voice more of a rat's squeak. He pushed her chin up, boring into her eyes. Her eyes were welled up with tears. "Heyy, I know I am a hot stuff. You don't have to cry for being my fan, you know." He winked at her, as his two syllable laugh echoed in her mind. She elbowed him playfully, as she laughed at his comment. "Sorry about what happened last time, Leah. I didn't mean to react that way, though" said Jay, as he tugged at the loose bow that lay across his white collared crisp shirt. She stepped forward and adjusted his bow, as she went on," sorry for breaking your promise Jay," her voice the reflection of complete guilt and sadness. "I know how much this means to you, Leah. I've seen how excited you get every time you receive a letter from him. One lucky guy that fella is," he winked at her again watching a tear drop rolling down her cheek. He pushed her by the shoulders to the vanity mirror at the other end of the room. He pulled off the hair band from her pony tail, as he watched her hair fall across her shoulders, its ends curled inwards. The dress hugged her perfectly, the end of the dress forming waves near her feet. "That girl over there," he pointed at the mirror, "is what I would define as beauty working out its magic," he whispered.

*** As wise men have said before, what the eyes couldn't see is what the mind doesn't know. Will it be proven true in Leah's case? Join her in her quest of finding her pillar of success whom had always remained mysterious; working behind the curtains of fame while she was showered with applause and glory. Will she ever find the one she was looking for?***

"I... Am here to see you.", I told him as I placed my hands around his neck. I could feel my heart beat getting faster but I had to keep it strong if I had to survive this scenario. "What?", Brandon asked completely startled. I leaned in more closer to him. The only good thing in this entire scene was that he wasn't pushing me back due to my creepy behaviour. "Oh... Bran, I was missing you so much, I just... I needed to see you.", I said as I came up with lie. "Are you drunk?", Brandon asked as he leaned in closer trying to smell my mouth. Thank God Fel had given me her mint gum only moments before I went commando and came inside the locker room. "What?", I scoffed still standing extremely close to Brandon. "I just.... I was missing your gorgeous face.", I told another lie. But wait? His face is gorgeous so that isn't a lie. And was I not missing seeing him? I noticed Brandon who just had his eyes popped out of his socket with bewilderment at my words. I decided to peck him on the cheek before I storm out of the locker room. I leaned ahead to peck Brandon who moved his face in my direction and instead of his cheeks, our lips crashed. Brushing against each other, our lips touched. I could feel fireworks exploding inside my entire body. With my neurological system not responding anymore. ******* Depicting the hostility and vulnerability of a young woman to a society the story centers around a normal sophomore, Amy Cole, who had a normal life. Well way too normal for her situation. Amy's life was all good until one day, when her friends dumped her and blamed her for something she never even did. Her life takes a complete turn as her childhood crush, Brandon Mayhew, the Mayor's son, who once broke her heart, rushes back into her life through a series of events. With new friends, shifting thoughts, confused feelings and fighting anxiety and standing for the right thing. Amy makes her way to the top. Only to get at the top of everyone's hate list.

"What the hell did you do!?" I heard a feminine voice behind me. I groaned and turned around to meet a very angry face. I have never seen a girl this pissed before and honestly speaking, I am a little bit afraid. "She knew what she was getting into. Everyone knows I am player and I never stick to one girl." I shrugged and turned around to walk away. I didn't even take one step when I felt a firm hand on my t-shirt. She took a fist full of my shirt and turned me around so I was facing her. She then held my collar. Damn, she is almost the same height as me and if I would have been any normal guy, I would be terrified of her. "You don't treat girls like trash, asshole. She has feelings, she is not some toy that you got bored from after playing for a while. Apologize to her." She said through gritted teeth pointing towards Leah who was crying her eyes out. I noticed the crowd that started forming around us. I shrugged her hand away from my t-shirt and glared at her. "I will not apologize to anyone." I said slowly through gritted teeth. She is starting to piss me off. No one clashes me and no one stands against me. Even though I am new here, everyone knows that. I saw her eyes go blank and before I could duck, her fist made contact with my face and I felt sharp pain coursing through my nose. I held my nose tight and felt warm liquid flowing to my lips. Olivia Claire is a 16 year old high scholar. She is a fighter who never took anyone's shit and is famous for it. She mostly minds her own business occasionally helping people that might need her. "If you asked me three months ago what heartbreak was, I would tell you it's losing somebody close to you due to unspeakable circumstances. But right now, in this moment, I would say it's you. I would say it's the feeling I got in my chest when I realized I was out of time. When I stood in the rain and yelled for you to stay, but all I saw was your back. I would say heartbreak is lying in bed at two in the morning, watching my ceiling fan go around and around, wondering why you couldn't stop to listen. Two seconds. All I needed was two seconds to say the words. All I needed was to seconds for me to tell you I was in love with you. With everything about you. With the way you move, and the feeling of your arms around me. With the feeling of your chest vibrating as you laugh. Heartbreak is falling in love with everything about you, but having the words permanently stuck in my throat." _____ Gracelyn Levinsky grew up with Daniel Grey. "Daniel asked me to be his girlfriend," she spoke softly. The color rushed out of my face hearing the few words making my mouth grow dry. I tried to conceal the growing tears erupting from my orbs knowing I was hurt. I knew he would pick her over me. I knew that she was better for him. I knew that I had to step aside because as much as I wanted it, I would never take away her happiness. "Oh," I stiffly said. "Yeah, I hope you don't mind, but he asked me go on a date," she spilled trying to sense feelings. Her obliviousness was astounding. A sharp strand was hung behind my ear placing it there as I bit my lip not knowing the words to say. "That's great," I almost weeped. "I'm sorry. I know how much he meant to you. Things just kind of clicked, you know?" she pleaded with guilt. "Don't worry about it. I'm sure both of you are happy together," I smile clutching my fists. She threw me a pity smile believing every word before walking back towards Daniel soon leaving in their car. I looked down in hesitation on the news that has sparked in my mind. Tears feel like waterfalls as I quickly shut the door before they could see me. Just as I thought I was unseen, Daniel's glance had something; pain. - They were so different. One was living his dream preforming in sold out concerts while the other was scurrying through her last couple months of high school. "Marry me." he drawled out sexily. His eyes filled with desire and for the first time in my life, I felt the danger of my chastity being taken tonight. I took a deep breath as I eyed my best friend who had been with me since I was eleven. "We're friends, Gabriel. Don't do this." My voice weakened with every word I say. He chuckled dangerously and it felt like music in my ears, "Friends? Friends don't desire each other, Marianne. Don't think that I didn't know you were blocking the girls who were trying to take my number back then." I gritted my teeth as I felt the embarrassment of what I did back then when we were sixteen. I glared at him and punched his chest, "Then why did you still flirt with them?! You like playing around with my feelings?!" He stopped my hand from punching his chest. He lowered his head and put his nose to my neck to inhale my scent. "I didn't flirt with them, babe. I didn't text them. The texts you saw came from my other number I used to pretend I was texting myself. You don't know how crazy I get from holding back from touching you. The mere smell of yours is driving me crazy. So marry me, Marianne. Give me the right to taste you." His hoarse voice sounded painful but filled with desire, I shut my eyes tightly as nervousness and butterflies were swirling on my stomach, my knees trembling from excitement. He pulled my waist and he smashed my lips with his hungry mouth. His lips devoured my lips and his tongue invaded every inch of my mouth. ~~~~ Marianne and Gabriel had been bestfriends ever since they were teenagers. "Excuse me miss, can I have the time?" I say. She reaches for her phone. "I'd check my watch but I can't take my eyes off you." She stares at me with a weird smile. Maybe she didn't get it. "Well can I follow you home?" Her eyebrows shifted in question. "My parents always told me to follow my dreams." This time she gives me a real smile but nothing else. "Have you ever been flirted with?" She shakes her head side to side silently. What? The girl with the smooth caramel skin, big brown eyes, and soft curly hair has never been flirted with? I almost gasp. "Stop kidding." I say not believing her. "I'm being serious." She says, her voice as smooth as her skin looks. "So, would you mind hanging out sometime?" I say almost a little nervous of rejection. That feeling's kind of new. "Are you sure you wanna go out with me?" She says a little surprised by my proposal. "Yeah, I mean you are beautiful." I say. Usually, compliments make girls smile or giggle, but she seemed uncomfortable. Bad start. She paused for a moment thinking. "Yeah, sure. I'd love to hangout." She says with a small smile. "Great. What's your name ?" I say almost ashamed that I don't know her name by now. "Diana. You?" "Reece." "It was nice meeting you Reece." She says getting up with her tray. "You too Diana."
