The sun and the moon were once considered the most opposing things to exist, until one October morning Dorothea Taylor gave birth to Agnes and Zander.

Two bedrooms on the third floor, one filled with fashion magazines, school textbooks, and penguin classics, the other having piles of dirty Carhartts, stashes of weed and battered skate decks. At the turn of fall and the pairs' journey into sixth form Agnes gains new power as head girl, learning the ropes from previous head boy Stephen and for the first time in her life she doesn't know what to do with herself, things are finally coming naturally to her. Only until the famously sociable and charming Taylor of Hendersonville interferes.
