Over the skies of Finland, 1943, the whirring of a lone plane can be heard through the cold wintery clouds. Piloting that plane is a mysterious man, one who's rumours are only fabled through the soldiers below. With his grey-green Bf-109, his old blue dress uniform, and the sheer sisu built in him, an unknown pilot rules the skies as he keeps back the invaders he was taught to despise.
One day, a problem arises as a technical issue causes him to crash into a tree. Alone in the dark forests of the hilly Finnish countryside, he is forced to fight for himself, and find a way back home. Armed with only a pistol and a parachute, the downed officer sets off to find civilization... if the enemy doesn't find him first........

"Hmm..." smoke left his lips in a slow and steady cloud, a cigarette resting between a pointer and middle finger in his right hand. Eyes glued to the dark winter night sky, panning search lights among the stars, bursts of bright dots turning into balls of fire, flicking the burning stick onto the ground, trapping it under his boot. "The Army is already gathering, we should go..." dragging his eyes from the sky over to the tall man with a smooth voice standing beside him, watching the way his eyes would shine with the bursts of light in the sky, dancing against the forest green of his eyes.Complete

You died. I mean, it happened quite a bit during your lifetime. It wasn't anything different. However, instead of you waking up in the barracks again, you found yourself in a very odd place. A place where skin and fur were the same thing. "I hope I don't die too many times here." A Sniper in a God Forsaken World
It was cold. Very cold. 'How did I get here?' I pondered over and over. Here I was, surrounded by an endless sea of snow covered trees. All around me, I could see layers among layers of snow. I lay there, staring up into the sky, wondering what had just happened. I had died. Or at least, I thought I died. Synopsis: A 34 year old soldier Simo Shephard dies while in active combat, yet instead of waking up at the pearly gates, he wakes up in a different kind of hell. Read as he survives in a world of animal hybrids known as chimeras, and as he tries his best to aid humanity as they dwindle ever closer to a silent extinction. Will he succeed in making a foothold for humanity? Will he change the tyrannical ways of the world? Or will he fail, leaving the fate of humanity to the chimeras. A/N This is the first story I have ever written. I am dumbfounded that people have found this story good enough to read, so thank you to all the readers! Everett VonDyke was only a normal eighteen year old boy, with ambitions and high hopes of making something in this world. Unfortunately, his life would soon change one sunny, summer afternoon in June of 1943. He learns that he has been drafted into the U.S Army and must go fight in Japan. During one of his missions, his entire team is killed, in result, he is the only one remaining. He is then taken prisoner of war in a cold dark cell. As he survives the first night. He suffers a severe head injury the following morning, causing him to begin to lose his grip with reality. In order to keep himself sane, he lifts a notebook off of a dead prisoner and begins to write his life story over again so he can remember the young ambitious boy he once was.Complete
