Julienne Basset is focusing on her craft despite of the dark past she is trying to overcome. Transferring to the Academy is a move she always thought is wrong and it was proven at the very first day when he met an arrogant man named Anthony Bridgerton.
They are both competitive and confident but they are not wanting the same thing when it comes to love. Anthony is a Capital R Rake while Julienne is a hopeless romantic. He is all about lust and desire but she wants flowers and romance.
However, falling in love with each another is not a thing they are both looking forward to happen.
Love is not on Anthony's plate and as for Julienne, she knows that she would going to wander around forever to seek for a perfect man in a world where someone like a rake Anthony already exists.
Would it be a hate-hate relationship all throughout or Anthony would see himself falling in love with a person he loathes and Julienne would discover that she doesn't need to wander anymore?

Anthony Bridgerton has snubbed so many marriage candidates his mother is at a loss and thinks her son will never wed. Anthony is, to his mother's dismay, still very much in love with his former girlfriend Sienna Rosso, who has moved on to marry someone else. Yet he still can not forget about her and therefore finds excuses to dismiss one woman after the other. He does the same with Mara Kensington, an old spinster regarding to society's standards, but an unfortunate meeting results into to their lives intertwining. They marry but it is a marriage of convenience at first, even though Anthony likes to visit her bedroom at night but the relationship has his considerable ups and downs and the two argue.. a lot. Read Anthony Bridgerton x Y/N if you want. *********************** "Are you denying your husband?", he asks with her clenched teeth, angrily. She doesn't respond but just stares at him defiantly. "Lie down", Anthony demands but Mara shakes her head. "I said.. LIE DOWN", Anthony repeats angrily.. It Started in Spanish
Anthony stops at my bare shoulder and leans down to press a hot kiss onto the skin. "You can't say things like that.." He delivers another, this one to my collarbone and making my words grow weak, unconvincing ... even as they come from my own mouth. "We're supposed to be ... friends." Anthony is quiet at first, the only response I get being his free hand drifting over to cage my body into the small space between us. "I know .." He trails off. It goes dead silent for a second. "But I ... don't think that's enough for me, B." There's a sharp breath from me at the words and a flush of heat to my cheeks when Anthony pushes my hair over my shoulder. His actions expose me to him, showing off my bare shoulders in a way that's downright indecent as the straps pulled down now hang loosely off my arms. "I don't want .. to be just a friend to you." And then, there's another kiss to pair. Although it isn't a simple peck this time. It's an actual kiss now, slow and softly pressed onto my neck. Beatrix thought she'd never trust another guy again. After being burned, both physically and emotionally by her ex-boyfriend Rudy in her senior year of high school, Beatrix's trust in people is low. That is, until she transfers to the esteemed, private Highland University. It's a fresh start to give the girl what she wants most: A shot at normalcy. The plan is simple .. just keep her head down, study her ass off, try to become a functional person once again and hopefully make one friend or two. Everything was supposed to start over that year. She'd had high hopes of starting anew and faithfully prepared to blend in to the background. And the day goes well. Until she sits down in Spanish, where she meets Anthony Gamaro. After a slight misunderstanding, Beatrix finds herself in an odd friendship with the 20 year old football player. One that slowly helps her regain the confidence she'd long lost before.
