Julienne Basset is focusing on her craft despite of the dark past she is trying to overcome. Transferring to the Academy is a move she always thought is wrong and it was proven at the very first day when he met an arrogant man named Anthony Bridgerton.

They are both competitive and confident but they are not wanting the same thing when it comes to love. Anthony is a Capital R Rake while Julienne is a hopeless romantic. He is all about lust and desire but she wants flowers and romance.

However, falling in love with each another is not a thing they are both looking forward to happen.

Love is not on Anthony's plate and as for Julienne, she knows that she would going to wander around forever to seek for a perfect man in a world where someone like a rake Anthony already exists.
