{Takes place in Captain America: The First Avenger}

Elizabeth Carter was mostly happy with her life. She was single and had no plans of settling down since she wasn't the submissive type like most men wanted. She longed for action when she joined the military with her sister Peggy after their brother's death during the war, but since it wasn't "ladylike" to fight she was stuck barking orders. That was until Steve Rogers came along giving her the opportunity to prove herself. On a mission to save Steve's best friend, James Buchanan Barnes, she finds the man that drives her absolutely crazy. He constantly picks on her and constantly butts heads with him, she can't stand being in the same room with him. But after some encounters with his soft side she can't help but feel some sort of way for him.
