Tricks of the mind. Are they tricks? Or reality? That's the problem.

Warning: If you're looking for a clear plot. This is not for you. Check out my other books, but not this one. 

I wrote this in 2001. There are many things I would be reluctant to do now: passive voice, shifting rhymes, overuse of adverbs, and more. The text goes on in parts, but each has a different resonance. 

Self-criticisms aside, despite getting my thoughts down into words so long ago, the core idea still haunts me. Enjoy, if you can.

Life has evolved and more technologies appeared. The internet is the main brain of these technologies, but that doesn't mean that it's safe. It is said that we are only using 10% to 15% of the entire internet, so where is the left of it that's the question. That's not the main point the point is how people could use the internet. Some could use it for social life, some could use it for doing research and some could use it to track you down and know every single move you do. They could hear everything, know your next destination. Maybe now you're being followed and tracked down by someone but you just don't know. Just as the characters in the story. The story is based on possible events that could occur in these days. Nobody knows what's out there on the internet, and what's in people's minds. I'm so afraid. I haven't been able to sleep for some time now. They keep me awake. Every night they come from out the shadows and speak to me. Every night I can hear their laughter, their whispers. The shadows on the walls twist and churn as what lurks within them moves. Every so often I catch a glimpse of one of their too-wide smiles. The things they say to me are unspeakable. It is so wondrous. They fill my head with things I never thought possible. As I lay awake in bed at night, listening to them, I am afraid to hear them. I'm afraid, because I think I'm beginning to enjoy it more and more. I cannot wait until everyone else can hear them too. Until everyone can feel this bliss.
