I've always asked myself. What would've happened if they were one? Something like an anthology. This is PS code 006016002. The reboot of a really old and cringy, terribly written fanfiction called "the mind and the body". Which is also mine.
Friends have become enemies, enemies friends. Children are rampant. Even after complete death the Kyriyuin clan still finds a way to create problems 160 years later. The only constant remaining, being personality. Even form has changed in that time. And itself has began to errode over the course of the temporal forces. Only leaving names.
Mitsuru has a new charecter arc.
Kokoro has a longer and more compeling charecter arc.
Miku and Zorome have an in show romance for once. Even if they are both massive tsundares.
Futoshi actually exists as charecter and not a plot device.
Ikuno is a little more than an angry lesbian here.
Goro is not jesus christs' reincarnation.
And Ichigo is an absolute monster.
And Hiro and Zero Two even bring some new arcs to the table.(They are not just religated to main charecters.)
And I can't even stress how different Ryuko's arc is than the anime.
