Though the biggest reason she left was cause her ex boyfriend, Tanner, tried to kill her over a deal that went wrong and had blamed her for stealing a shit load of money from him. She finally feels like for the first time, she can start a new life and is able to move on. Especially with her roommate/best friend, Sam, whose been there for her since elementary school and moved with her. It's been a year since she moved away and now, without any distractions, especially, from guys, she one day meets her new neighbor, Hunter. Which makes things harder.
Hunter is tatted from head to toe and is muscular/athletic and has just recently moved into the apartment across the short hallway from Carrie. Fate has nothing to do with why he chose that particular place. He happens to be the leader of a gang that happens to also be a good friend of Tanner's and since he owes Tanner a favor, as a good friend, he is asked to find Carrie and the money, then let him know so that he can 'take care' of her. But plans suddenly change when he falls for her.
