His Heart Was in Gander

When Martin Tarwell, Director of a Conservatory outpost, comes to the realization that one of his sister outposts isn't responding to the routine check-in, he knows something is amiss. He rallies a subordinate to travel deep through the Newfoundland wilderness, now reclaimed by predators and dangers once thought vanquished. On his journey, his initial suspicions of technical failure quickly melt away as things begin to stop adding up. Why would his colleague venture out of their overnight cabin and never come back? Did he sabotage his vehicle, or did something else?
