Though, getting to know Victor during their journey unfolds a huge, large, ugly past of religious abuse, depression, and what scares him the most, a written-up fate tied by engagement with an abusive partner.

James will do anything to make Victor happy even if it means tearing him apart from his family of Eternatus worshippers, disgusting adults, and his own fear to save him.
