Marty is a small girl who has had dreadful nightmares since she was a little girl. She lives in a world of nightmares where sleep is plagued and dreams don’t exist. She’s lived in this world all her life. Nightmares plague her sleep, but Marty’s nightmares also plague her when she is awake. Her nightmares come to her in daydreams. Her nightmares have caused her to be very paranoid and she’s very nervous around anything that isn’t familiar. She’s home schooled because she can’t be around new people. She lives in a nightmare.

Derek loves his life. He’s popular, quarterback of his school’s football team, he has girls falling all over him, what more could he want? He realizes what he wants when he bumps into the most beautiful girl in the world at a local park. He finds her at his high school out of all places and his luck must be building because she has three periods with him, too! He introduces himself again and the beauty he finds, slowly, but surely comes out her shell to him. He begins to fall for her and her, him, but then one day she wasn’t there. Or the next. Or the next. His beauty has disappeared....
