Team 7 was assigned a mission by the 5th Hokage to go to the Village Hidden in the Mist and investigate what was going on inside the Village. Naruto and his teammates Sasuke, Sakura and Kakashi were also assigned to take the legendary Sannin Jiraiya along with them, so Jiraiya could lead them the way there. They all left for their journey, who knew what was in their path ahead.

The other male character, Sasuke Uchiha, is an ordinary boy who doesn't go out. He keeps to himself and only ever talks to his brother, Itachi, and his knucklehead best friend who he loves, Uzumaki Naruto.
