This story is a bit like Arknights meets Death Stranding, since the job of a 'Catastrophe Messenger' and general situation is strangely similar to a 'Porter'. It will operate almost completely independently from the plot of the game itself. This story is thus aimed more towards readers who like to immerse themselves into a unique perspective of the world of Arknights and not into a recreation of the in-game plot. So if you like Arknights, but can't wrap your head around the game's plot, then this story should fit for you. (Definetly not an excuse for the fact that the author is just interested in the general worldbuilding itself and not the game's plot directly.) As such, mistakes are to be expected, for this is my first experimental dive into the world of Arknights. Feel free to correct them if found. The 'Mature' tag is only for occasional descriptions of injuries and blood, as Messengers often face dangerous situations that can cause injury and sometimes even death.
