Constellations - Day of Hope 2022 One-shot

"The stars keep shining, unaware of the internal battle that he keeps fighting, that he's always fighting. They're the only ones who haven't left him, after all these years. But he can barely bear to look at them. Because the names of some of the major ones - Polaris, Dubhe, Betelgeuse, Rigel, Arcturus, Spica, Castor, Pollux - are all whispered in his head by his mother, back before she left him. The invisible lines connecting individual stars into constellations are always drawn by his mother's finger.
He's always alone, isn't he? At the end of the day, it's always him against the world. Just him.
Is he forever destined to live in solitude? Will his sole comfort for the rest of his life be only the stars?
Will he ever find a place - or a person - to call home?"

One more special one-shot, this time for Day of Hope 2022, which fell on April 6 (Yep, I'm late, in usual me fashion!). This holiday, and, by extension, this story is dedicated to victims and survivors of abuse everywhere.
