'I've been waiting for you.' Draven reached out and brushed Charlie's hair behind his ear. The gel seemed to disintegrate under the power of his touch.
'Wow,' Charlie spluttered but his mind was already floating away from his body.
Draven brushed his finger over Charlie's lips. 'Watch your words around me and never talk about me behind my back.'
There was nothing Charlie could do. He felt like he was watching everything happen from so far away. The more he tried to fight it, the more he started to float away from reality.

His ears were straining to hear.
