Benjamin Jones. Loud, aggressive, impatient golden boy. Everyone thinks he's got it all. Star player on the soccer team, a stepfather with a shitload of money and the hottest girl in school is his girlfriend. The universe seems to love him. But maybe it doesn't. Maybe he's just really good at pretending.
JJ and Benji have always hated each other. Despised each other. They're complete opposites; one boy releases his anger in the worst possible ways and the other keeps it all bottled up inside.
But it's senior year. And maybe they're more alike than they think. They both have a dangerous secret that threatens to tear apart everything they've worked so hard for. No one can ever know this secret.
But while God watches, fate forces their hearts to align.
Maybe they can make it through this together.

It's like baking, almost, you have to mix the right ingredients together, and if you add the wrong ones things can taste hideous even if they look good. It's a lot like our words. But I've mastered how to tell someone just a little about myself but doing it in a way that makes the person in front of me think they know a lot. Jasper, somehow, sees through this every fucking time and it's absolutely infuriating.
