Malcolm Munroe, a quiet, soft-spoken, fly-on-the-wall 16-year-old boy in high school, develops a crush on a popular girl in his class named Jaclynn. When he tells his group of friends, two of them, Lily and Diana, offer to help him build up his confidence and image to get the girl. Unknown to him, however, are the butterflies bursting from her stomach whenever she sees Jaclynn and the jealousy bubbling in her chest when Malcolm is seen with her. Lily may not be the only one swimming in jealousy though.
