BOOK ONE OF EVER GROWING MAGICK

"From the mountains to the sea, the Riverlands shall be free!"

A fantasy world experiencing an industrial revolution powered by magic; an organization known as the Order controls the flow of magic, the lifeblood of a failing empire. The Order is secretly hiding that magic is running out. Living in the backwaters of the Imperial Republic, an orphaned boy and his friends might have the power to restore magic.

Finneas Breydan lives with his younger brother Kenelm in an orphanage. He doesn't think he's special or anything. But when a mysterious stranger from the Order visits the town, the boy is thrust into an adventure that could change the fate of the world.
The Imperial Republic spawns almost across the known world, gobbling up previously independent nations.

However, the new people forced into the Republic want to fight back. A rebellion is brewing. And a king is determined to retake his throne.

Janus Viper was once a handsome king, a cruel ruler that ruled his Kingdom with an iron fist. Even though he had everything he ever wanted since he was born (except, perhaps, love) he taxed his people relentlessly in order to fill his castle with the most beautiful objects, and his parties with the most powerful people. One day, a weak and homeless old man visits Janus, seeking shelter from the storm. Janus turns the man away, repulsed by his appearance, and as punishment, a curse is placed on Janus and his castle. Janus is turned into a monster, with six arms, claws, venomous fangs, and scales covering half of his body. The servants of the castle and all his guests were turned into furniture, as punishment for sitting by and doing nothing while the Prince grew into the cruel King he is today. However, there is a cure for the curse. If Janus can learn to truly love another and be loved in return, the curse will be cured. As the years went by, the castle and everyone in it became forgotten, and Janus lost hope. For who could ever love someone as cold and monstrous as him? Meanwhile, in a small village nearby, a Wizard named Logan Foster is looked down on by his town for his startling intelligence, difficulty in social situations, and his practices of magic. That doesn't deter Roman Prince from attempting to court Logan, however, because even if he is odd, Logan is the most handsome man in the village, and Roman has always enjoyed a challenge. Not wishing for his son to be alone, Patton Foster agrees to give Roman his blessing. Logan, who doesn't wish to get married, runs away from home. He plans to build a cabin in the forest and live the rest of his days there, but instead he finds a castle, where he is invited to stay as a guest. (Yes changing the captive part you're welcome) He isn't sure yet who the Castle's Master is, but based on the talking furniture that allowed him to stay here, he assumes it's a fellow Wizard. When Prince Timothy finds out that he isn't who he has always thought he was, he comes to the realization that not only was his life in danger but so was his mother's life thanks to the laws of Lyvera against bastards. With his uncle and aunt gunning for the throne and his life, Timothy has no choice but to get married before his Coronation which is in two moons, in order to secure his fragile claim to the throne and keep his mother safe. Facing challenges to his legitimacy and pressure to marry before his coronation, particularly due to lacking Grey magic when his lineage is expected to have both Green and Grey magic, Timothy finds an unlikely ally in Princess Zelda Faroe. A formidable mage he has a complicated history with. A girl he hates due to her bullying him in the Academy for four years. All her life Zelda Faroe has always gotten whatever she wanted with relative ease and has always been the most powerful Grey Mage in the Lyverian Empire, until she meets Timothy at the Academy. With her desire to be close to the Prince, who was supposed to be as powerful as her in magic, morphing into anger at him not being as powerful as she thought, she decides to train him for the next four years. At least that's what she thinks she is doing until seven years later when the Emperor dies and Timothy is in need of a bride. With her past actions haunting her, and her desire to change how he sees her prevalent in her mind, she decides to risk her life and her kingdom to help Timothy become Emperor.

Niccola is a demi-queen undercover in enemy territory. Her little sister went missing seven moons ago, but one lead remains: a picture of a woman's face, drawn by a diviner shortly after the disappearance. Tracking her down has led Niccola to Calis, the realm next door whose border with her own remains closed for a reason. There, the trail goes cold. Until, that is, Niccola runs into a man in the marketplace who bears a family resemblance to the woman she seeks. His name is Isaiah, crown prince of Calis, and he's investigating disappearances, too. They join forces, faking courtship to sneak Niccola into the palace and get Isaiah's wedding-minded mother off his back. It doesn't take long to suspect that a common threat might underpin both their realms' problems. And as Niccola begins to develop real feelings for Isaiah, she's faced with an impossible choice: reveal her secrets and risk breaking his trust, or leave him in order to chase down the woman who stole her sister... a woman whose forbidden magic comes with a cost that could bring both realms to ruin. ❖❖❖ Complete and fully edited. "Everyone loves a good fantasy, but my life was turned upside down by one." What would you do if you had the ability to control the air? How about if you were suddenly brought to a world where, despite your powers, you're at the bottom of the food chain? On a fateful night, Max Walker finds himself summoned to Asterisk and contracted to Liliana Lockwood as her familiar. Forced to leave behind his life on Earth, Max begins a precarious journey into the unknown world of magic. Training as a knight, learning to control mana, battling rogue necromancers and even being mistaken for Duke Walker's son... it's just one thing after the next. But as if that wasn't bad enough, Asterisk, a world which subverts reality as you know it, may just have something to do with Max's own heaven-defying origin... and a secret that could leave the universe hanging by a thread.
