Almost no one heard of the Tale of Ladybug and Chat Noir. Unlike Snow White and Little Red Riding Hood, this tale was simple. Too plain for a fairytale even. To the fairytale world however, the Tale of Ladybug and Chat Noir determines the sense of order and chaos in the land so the story must be retold silently.
A few days ago, Marinette didn't have a destiny until fate thrusted her into the position of Ladybug, the maiden who tricked Chat Noir. The previous Ladybug, her mother made a grave mistake in her tale that shook the fairytale world. Now Marinette has to give up her dreams to fulfill her destiny as the next Ladybug.
On the day of Legacy Day, as all was ready to pledge their destinies, Raven Queen, the daughter of the Evil Queen didn't pledge and the true destinies of Ladybug and Chat Noir revealed themselves and the world of fairtales changed forever...

"Okay... what does the 'ladies man' need to know?" Referencing the most recent interview he did. "Oh, come on. I didn't expect them to keep that part in the interview." She giggled. "It was funny, I'm glad they kept it in." He flicked her exposed leg through the dress slit. "Okay, but I just had a question about Ladybug." Marinette swallowed hard at the mention of herself. She suddenly felt like she shouldn't be hearing this because she was Ladybug. "Okay, shoot it." He bit his lip, maybe unsure how to word it. "Well... I kinda tried to court her for at least the last 7 months. She didn't accept it, and I finally accepted that myself... but I guess my question is why she might not have wanted me. I'm sorry, I'm not even sure you could answer that... It just seems like Ladybug trusts you, so maybe she mentioned something to you?" -- Marinette Dupain-Cheng, a usually stubborn, headstrong girl, finally gives up on liking Adrien Agreste. Miraculous: The Adventures of Ladybug and Chat Noir - Adrien and Marinette, oblivious as always. As tension between the pair increases, so does their inevitable love square.
