Jen has always dreamed of opening her own coffee shop. To be more able to reach her dreams, she moves from Minnesota to Chicago, the number one coffee lover city.
But her widow mother suddenly has to move with her, as soon as possible. When Jen learns that her mother is sick, everything she has planned or thought of begins to fall apart.
But something didn't go as planned : Jen meets a guy she instantly fell in love with. She thinks to herself that she would like him to be the father of her kids. It starts from a simple though, but turns out to be a living hell.
