18 year old Vivian Knight Hunter has been a member of the Fairy Tail guild for as long as she can remember. She joined not long after her parents died when she was six years old and has been a member ever since. 

Vivian has learned to overcome the pain of losing her parents and has found a new family in Fairy Tail, quickly gaining the nickname The Valkyrie due to her magic by an unknown person, people whispering her name in recognition. Vivian became S-class at the age of ten and now it's her friends' turn for the long awaited S-Class Wizard Promotional Trials, but Vivian decides to remain at the guild hall this year.

After reuniting with her long lost family members, Vivian and the rest of the guild enter the Grand Magic Games where she meets another mysterious dark Dragon Slayer.
