In an isolated kingdom, on an island surrounded by a bright blue sea, live the people of Hikari, the Kingdom of Light and all things pure.

As most kingdoms do, the people of Hikari have a monarchy. Up in the palace the color of heavenly white live the Royal Family of Hikari. Consisting of Reed and his father, King Tai.

One unfortunate night, the king drinks the wrong wine, and is poisoned and assassinated.

Reed must take on the throne early, being the only Heir. Despite his nothing but calm expression and tone, a storm wells up inside him and he crumbles under the stress and pressure.

He learns to find Solace in the forest, where he meets two Divines. Aku and Ai-Li, two siblings and two young warriors who defend the kingdom from harm.

Little do the three of them know, purity and peace can only last so long before fear and chaos come to visit. Onyx and Aries wait in the shadows, intending to balance the much too pure Kingdom of Hikari.

An angelic halfling, thrown into a brutal war - not her own. Can she survive, can humanity? Angels or Hellion, Sky hates them both, hell, she even hates half-breeds like herself. She has only known this war, waging long before her birth. Because of it she has been running all her life, leaving behind a trail of bodies- being chased by both monsters and forbidden secrets. The secrets of what she was- of who who she was. Her mother's warnings always loud in her mind, propelling her to care about nothing but survival. And to keep moving was to survive. Until one day she has no where left to run and everything she has been fleeing from swallows her whole. She finds herself held in a cell alongside humans, made to fight or die as if their lives have no worth. Unable to run, she is forced to face 'them' head on for she will never bow to the beings who never belonged on Earth to begin with. To survive in this world she will need to adapt- learning that sometimes those deemed untrustworthy may make powerful allies and those she had given her heart to may have always been the biggest threat of all. Helpful reminders as you read: (subject to change & be updated w/the release of chapters) Main characters: 1. Charlie (woman) - She has light features, recessive genes. Rhys (man) - Charlie's best friend. 4. Senator Holm (man) - One of many senators that work directly with President Malcolm Bouchard. 5. 273 (man) - Peat. Dark features. Chocolate brown curls. Tattoos whipped out of place. Emerald green eyes. Vocabulary: * Plebeian - a lower class individual, the lowest class. Every race has the ability to be born with lighter features, so there's no prejudice against race. Just physical features. Sybaran is the continent; Nephraim (home village) , Salem (stricter division, where Aero was born), Mieich, and Shankrai, are the 4 subdivisions (countries) of Sybaran that we have so far.

[COMPLETE] [[**Sequel, The Hybrid Harold, is up!**]] The first generation past the war has settled and the result is something no one from the past would recognize. In the United Human Alliance, the human run country that takes up much of the land mass that used to be the United States, magical children are taken from their parents and sent to boarding school at a young age. What provides humanity with safety from 'volatile' magical beings separates parents from their children and young adults from their culture. Alenia Paetzold is the prime example of what the UHA has created. A domestic dragon. That's why they never expect her to find her wings and burn the cage she is held in to the ground. Getting there, however, takes a prophecy, a lot of lies, and overwhelming love. "For The War Is Lost if They Can Not Win Their Child's Life Lost for Their Sin" ***OMG IT GOT TO NUMBER 1 IN MATRIARCHY!*** ***AND #4 IN FANTASY-ROMANCE!*** Trigger Warnings: Death.
