We have been dating for several months; nothing has ever got between us. We were best friends as well as boyfriend and girlfriend. He was one of the hottest boys from my school; we had never spoken before till we were sat next to each other in French. People like him would never talk to people like me at school. But with me being sarcastic and him being himself we go on like a house on fire. It was on cold winters afternoon when we got the bad news, it’s amazing how one thing can break a family apart. My brother Nick was 16, he had such ambitions in life. He was a great sportsman, swam for England and wad being considered for the next Olympics. However having an heart condition, took away everything from him bit by bit. So when things got really bad George Shelley was a help in hand. Im Poppy by the way. A/N *No, this is a made up story and has nothing to do with my real brother. Being a teenager is tough, and that's before you factor in the boys, jealous exes and developmental issues. -------------------------------------- "Hello? Who is this?" I asked. Silence replied my question. "Hello? Is anyone there?" I was about to hang up but then a quiet whisper came through the other end of the line. "Stay away from him." "What? who? Who is this?" Fear started to creep into my voice. "Just stay away, I don't want to have to do something drastic." Their voice was cold, sending shivers down my spine. "Who is this? Who do you want me to stay away from?" The other end was silent. "Hello?" I heard two consecutive beeps then looked at my phone; the call had disappeared, almost as if it had never happened. -------------------------------------- Mei has wished she was normal all her life. Getting bullied as a kid, mocked for falling over all the time, has left her trying to avoid as much sport as possible. Although, despite being dyspraxic, she still couldn't escape PE lessons, even when she got to Sixth Form. One PE lesson, she falls over in front of her crush and he offers to teach her to kayak. She has mixed feelings about participating in a sport after loathing them so much. Mei soon realises there's more to worry about than being clumsy, though, when her crush's ex brings herself into the scene.
