Freyr

I looked up-and there they were. Freyr's enormous blue eyes, locked onto mine, glowing like twin flames. They cut through me like daggers, piercing straight into my soul. The auditorium fell into a stunned silence. Every head turned in my direction. I stood there, frozen, as if the ground had swallowed my feet.

My heart thundered in my chest, each beat louder than the last.

It wasn't until the headmaster's voice echoed through the microphone that the weight of what had just happened finally hit me.

"Freyr has chosen!" he declared, his voice filled with awe. "Amory, step forward... and meet your dragon!"

For a hundred years, darkness has ruled. The world, overrun by evil, has known only fear-until now.

The five elemental dragons have awakened, and with them comes a prophecy: they will each choose a human partner to stand against the encroaching shadow. To be chosen is the highest honor-proof of courage, strength, and nobility.

At sixteen, she's already a battle-hardened warrior, shaped by loss and fire. She has no desire to be part of the prophecy. All she wants is to disappear-to escape the looming threat of the Dark Lord and carve out a quiet, forgotten life far from war and fate.
