Poetry depicting human rawness. Some snippets from this collection...

WHAT I'LL DO
And now that I know why I am here, and what I need to do, the choice is in my hands - and I’m worried what I’ll do

AS ARE YOU
I remind myself that I am a spiritual being in a physical body. I am a soul in this body on this beautiful earth. As are you.

FOR THAT GIRL I KNOW
For that girl I know who speaks softly
but is full of anger and hate for that wretched human -
forgiveness will come soon but before it does
it is best to release that fury of pain
before it swallows you whole
and takes away your see and speak

IT WAS STUPID AND SELFISH
Last night I did it again
And now I hate myself for it
It was stupid and selfish, dramatic and unnecessary
And now it burns like a hot summer day
With a bug bite itch that wont go away
And an added touch of hot pepper
That accidentally rubs from hands thought clean
To eyes, burning, burning with nothing to heal them
A scratch so small, even with 24 strokes of blade on skin
But it hurts like a lost love, like nostalgic thoughts
Of good days gone by, like hating yourself for
Not thinking of others who hurt everyday from real pain
It hurts so badly, it was stupid and senseless
But it had to be done and
It was worth every flash
That rises through my chest and into my bones
It was worth it today

She is an outcast. She finds it easier to express what she feels in the form of writing. Whether it is poems, letters or long texts. These are poems that she writes trying to describe how it feels to live with certain mental health issues, in a world that disregards outcasts. So, these are on the darker side of the spectrum. Some poems might be distressing for some readers. I personally enjoy consuming dark content, it's kinda like a coping mechanism. I really hope none of you relate with any of these :) I'll be posting only poems here, I'll try to be as active as I can. The poems are not in any order. They are just the thoughts that pop up any time of the day. (8.11.2023) PS: Please check out 'safe space'. I need your help to make it a real safe space, readers!
