The wind whispered in her ears as she sat on the rooftop. She could feel wisps of hair brush against her forehead as the starlight shone down around the world. This world of fear.
Her senses were sent into a flurry as an explosion echoed nearby. She stood up quickly, dusting off her black pants. Someone had to help here.
The heroes protected the upper districts. The police were never fast enough. So, in district seven, it was up to her. A vigilante.
In a step, she dropped off the edge of the tall building. In another second, her grappling hook, shot from her wrist cuff, caught the edge of another structure and she sped through the night, ready to help her city.
