So, this is my first fanfiction and I would like to say that the universe (characters and places as well) belongs to Shannon Messenger, the writer of Keepers of the Lost Cities (one of the best series of all time)!
I strongly advise and recommend that you have read all the KOTLC books before starting to read this one.

Well, this story takes place just after Unlocked (volume 8.5) in a world where Keefe would not have gone to the forbidden cities.

Beginning right after the latest Keepers book Unlocked, Sophie returns home to Find Grady suspiciously sad, but never in her mind could she have imagined why, finally she goes up stairs and reads Keefe's (heartbreaking) letter. Will she go after him or honor his wishes? Spoilers if you haven't read Unlocked. But if you're like me and aching to read the next book I hope this fanfic will help you with the wait.
