A DnD campaign that I am a member of. The group I'm playing with thought it would be cool if I posted our adventures into this fanfic. Some adventures might be longer than others, some might be rated mature. You guys complained about the whole dice roll thing so I just gave the result of the roll rather than the whole process.
The Tale of Dragons and Dungeons
The result of me and a couple of my friends playing Dungeons and Dragons. After a while, we just decided to make it into a story. I wrote basically all of it, and my friends made requests. Most of the time I tried to keep it to one linear story. I planned for a couple plot twist that never actually happened as I went on. Meep, my first story submitted to here. Things become more complicated than they expected. Meeting two humans who made life difficult for them. They bound together to stop the dark realm from taking over. Will they work together to defeat the enemy? Or will their thirst for what they are missing make them lose sight of their goals?Complete
The Path of the Adventurer
Here is an epic fantasy story set in my D&D world that I wrote not only for fans of RPGs and fantasy in general, but for all my friends. This story about my character Erion, a young elven warrior; and his many allies and enemies in the kingdom of Briarbeth. In this vast story, you'll meet daring heroes, joy-bringing mages, ruthless orcs and more. This novel has a multitude of inspirations and influences, chief among them being Dungeons and Dragons, The Lord of the Rings & The Hobbit, and The Legend of Zelda. I even take cues from anime such as Little Witch Academia, and favorite video games like Super Mario 64, The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, and various JRPGs like Chrono Trigger. Look closely, and you may find subtle references to some of the aforementioned franchises at different points in the book :) Just a little warning: The story, especially the first couple of chapters, starts off with a several common fantasy tropes and clichés at first glance (e.g. elves and orcs, an old wizard with a pointy hat and a grey beard, taking treasure from dragon etc.), but it will grow into something a bit more unique as the story progresses. Please forgive my usage of Tolkienesque tropes, as I came up with the concept of the series when I was only fourteen (At the time I was making it in the style of old school fantasy, so what can you expect :p). Even I, as the creator will say it is cliched or stereotypical in some aspects. I only refuse to change them due to spending a lot of time with them during my high school years (And tbh i love elves/dwarves/orcs fantasy). With that aside, I hope that you will love my fantasy universe full of adventure and lore. Now sit back, relax, and embrace yourself for a magical adventure with Erion and his friends! Listened to Twilight Force, Stratovarius, Sonata Arctica, Power Quest, and various other power metal bands while I was writing this :) (Character drawings found at the end of the story)Complete
