Railroads have been a major part of the development of our country since the 1820s. They were titans in American industry, largely due to the jobs that they provided. For railfans and historians, there were railroads that operated on the same lines in between major cities and freight ports. But one thing that I always wondered was if different railroads truly had certain heat/beef with each other, with each one trying to find the next move that would put them above their rival?
