It's 1940, and World War two has taken its toll on England, particularly one family. Matilda Knight, next-door neighbour and best friend to the Pevensie's. When Tilly's 'parents' are sent off to war, her father as a solider, along with Mr Pevensie, and her mother as a nurse, both to the front line, they are killed in action, leaving Tilly alone in the care of her friends, The Pevensie's. 

When it becomes too much, the children are sent away to where it's safe, or so they think. What happens when they find a hidden world and are swept up in their own war? Tilly has been best friends with Edmund Pevensie for most of their lives; they are always together. What will happen when they are separated? How will they cope without one another? What will happen to the four siblings and their best friend in Narnia's mysterious world, and what secrets will be revealed along the way?

It has been one miserable year for the Pevensie siblings and Matilda Knight back in England, while it has been 1288 years of the Dark Age in Narnia. After the disappearance of the five royals, Narnia went into the Dark Age, and many years later, Caspian II took power over the magical land turning it into ruins and nothing like the Narnia the group of five know of. The five have been going to school for the last year when suddenly, while waiting for the train, a mysterious gust of wind takes over the tunnel until they find themselves back in Narnia for brand new adventures. The group find themselves in for a big shock at the state of Narnia since they left. What will happen when the five realise what has happened to Narnia since they left?
