Wren Kobayashi is notorious for not-standing-out in her class-- scratch that, she doesn't stand out at all, wherever it may be. Having succumbed instead to the many wonders of the Internet, the once sociable sixteen-year-old now becomes an antisocial hermit, preferring to stay indoors than go to parties.
But with the approach of her final year in high school, and with the coming of a ton of new students she has never met, she might just have to get a rude awakening-- and get dragged from the safe haven of her virtual reality inside the interwebs to something more... perilous.
