Syrinia is a mermaid. Her kind does not take a kind interest in humans but what will happen when she meets one. One that she attacked. She knows everyone will not like the idea of her communicating with a human. But how will she feel about the human? Evan is human. He goes on a simple fishing trip with some friends and then soon there ship crashes and they are floating adrift in the sea. Then they finally come to an island when mysterious and crazy things happen. And Evan ends up finding somebody who he never thought existed until now. But what few know is that there is a threat to Syrinia's kind. Few know that humans have learned of mermaids. And that they want them gone.
