The summer after graduation was supposed to be easy-road trips, lake swims, stolen cigarettes, and one last season of being wild before the real world began. But for Ava Martinez and her closest friends, everything changes the day they find a torn journal and a pair of cryptic letters buried near an old, forgotten cabin in the woods. Rachel Quinn is the fearless one, always chasing the next thrill. Marcus Lee is the book-smart mystery buff who knows more than he says. Leo Dawson, Ava's childhood best friend, doesn't believe in ghosts-until he starts losing sleep. Dylan Carter covers his fear with sarcasm, while Nina Patel swears the woods feel wrong. Eli Reyes has his own secrets tied to this place. Skye Holloway, the new girl in town, might know more than she's letting on. And Kira Addams? She lives for chaos, and this is the kind she's been waiting for. As the group digs deeper into the past, strange symbols, vanishing people, and a decades-old legend begin to blur the lines between what's real and what should have stayed hidden. Some places were never meant to be found. And this summer? It might be their last.
