When aspriring Pokemon professor Axel Aletris Ketchum received a recommendation to assist Professor Sycamore in collecting data across the Kalos Region, he did not expect himself to become a Pokemon trainer, let alone getting caught up in a region-threatening crisis.

As Axel's journeys in the Kalos Region continues, his adventures go beyond 'collecting data', 'challenging gyms', and 'safeguarding a special USB he is entrusted with'. As their enemies, Team Alpha and Team Omega, start taking extreme measures to achieve their respective goals, Axel and his companions are in more danger than ever. 

In the midst of the trouble, Axel finds himself being forced to confront brutal truths, from their enemies' schemes, to the past that he sought to discard. Being swallowed up by the impending crisis, Axel has to make his own decision on what to do next in order to put a stop to the situation... with whatever it takes.

However he didn't anticipate that years later, Light, a recent Lumiose Academy graduate and avid reader who was born with the ability to understand Pokemon, doesn't want anything to do with Pokemon, more so ever since his father's disappearance and Dark bullying him for years. But he is forced to go on a journey when his friends bring him along for said journey. With a Froakie, a Pokemon his father originally was going to give him, the two of them make new friends and foes on their way to being the best of the best. What will happen on his journey? Will Light finally find out what happened to his father? Why does Lysandre and Malva takes an interest to Serena, Dark, Light and their Pokemon team?
