Alyssa Lies is based on the song Alyssa Lies by Jason Michael Carroll.

Ryan's small town life was all about soccer and academics. His life was simple and perfect, at home he was the star- since he was the only child- and at school his captain spot on the soccer team earned him his popularity with the student body and his 4.0 grade point average earned him his popularity with the faculty.

But when the new girl shows up, Ryan is taken for a long, bumpy ride. She's the female version of Ryan- plays soccer, gets outstanding grades, attractive, and becomes popular. But her life is the complete opposite.
Alyssa is quiet and seems to love being alone, but with difficulty, Ryan somehow befriends her. He figures out her life is hard but that's all that she's letting on. Will Ryan be able to reveal her secret? And when he does, will it be too late to save Alyssa? What happens when Ryan realizes his growing love for the girl but it's not enough or it's too late?
