Fresh from prison, Dream locked himself up in his private home. One day he discovered a hidden library under his home filled with enchanted books; he was then enticed by a particular book that was written about the moon god, HD. In the midst of finding about this gods story, he makes the decision to reach out to the god which leads to a string of events which come with downfalls and success.
Will Dream and HD prevail or will other people from their pasts get in the way?

(AU high school) Dream had been set up for failure his whole life. From no Dad to a deadbeat drunk Mom, Dream had to fend for himself. Some might think this situation would make Dream more responsible, but he went down the same path as his mother. From getting high everyday to crashing at his friends house, it seemed like there was no end. George on the other hand was a little different. He had his mom and his sister, and his brain. George was incredibly smart, he was definitely going places. The downside of this was bullies, George is bullied constantly and can't stand up for himself. He is grateful for what he has, but he sometimes wish he could just do something to take the edge off. To Protect
Dream struggles to fight off Nightmare who is taking over him, making him hurt those he loves and kill. At first he convinces himself he's being destructive and evil for George, so that George will never be in danger and could do what he wants but it is soon made clear Dream is not the one making the decisions over his own actions. Set as if Minecraft was real with canon lives. Occasional Sapnap POV and George POV. A lot of dialogue for the first chapters was taken from several streams but after that it is made up including the story. Songs are incorporated but don't need to be listened to, to read. I don't generally write so it may not be the best story but I hope you enjoy all the same! :)הושלם
