The Ghost of Manhattan has the entire city stumped. Somehow this burglar is managing to get behind even the most securely locked doors. No one knows who they're looking for, but no one would suspect the small and unassuming Eloise Brackett. This makes it the perfect gig for someone with Eloise's gifts. When the Battle of New York breaks out, it looks like the perfect time to capitalize on the chaos. That's when everything starts to collapse around her. She finds herself in the center of a scandal with a god she'd never believed in at an agency that didn't exist. The only problem is the crime she's being held accountable was one she didn't actually commit. How will she convince this agency that she's innocent when they have indisputable proof of her guilt with only the most infamous liar in history as her only potential ally?

Wilder: An Alternate Avengers Timeline(Loki x OC) by CarolineTrius
28 parts Complete
Let's get one thing straight- Ava Wilder was picked up by the Avengers for two reasons: her magic skillset and her ability to burn NYC to the ground. She now lives in Avengers tower, and the time is post-2012, a month after the attack on NYC. One day, a shock comes to the team when Thor suggests that he bring home his brother, Loki, god of mischief. The crew agrees to let him stay, but for only a week, just to see how it goes. They also agree on two conditions: he can't leave, and the newbie(Ava) has to watch his every move. During the week he has, Loki is determined to gain Ava's trust, though Ava is unsure as to why. Will he trick her and escape? Or does he, by any chance, actually want to be friends? Or perhaps even less likely- want something more than "friends"? Highest Ranks: #4 on Marvel Fanfics, #2 for Avengers2012, #3 for UnexpectedRomance, #18 for Loki x OC, #417 out of 6.2K for Loki Laufeyson Trigger warning: arguments, offensive comments, poisoning. Falling from high places and a little bit of violence. Editing Stage: 40% done I do not own any of the characters or places in this story except for Ava Wilder, her family, and Malus. All other characters and places belong to Marvel. I do not own the cover picture, I simply added text to it. Book 2 in The Trio of Non-Avengers. Note: I understand that my story is not eligible for the EyesLipsFierce competition, but I wanted to add it to make the donation because I have a strong female protagonist in this story :). After 62 long years of serving Hydra, the dangerous female assassin had finally escaped their unforgiving grasp. She was left with nothing. No name, no memory of her life before Hydra, no friends, and no home. The only thing she had was a mission: Find out who she was before Hydra by any means necessary. Three years after leaving Hydra's facility for good, she finds herself in containment on one of S.H.I.E.L.D.'s aircraft carriers after a break-in attempt in one of their top-secret facilities. Director Nick Fury has everything she needs to remember who she used to be, and he knows it; however, with the God of Mischief threatening war upon the entire planet, Fury is desperate to collect a group of the strongest and most capable men and women in the world to save the planet from the inevitable alien invasion. And so, a deal was proposed. She must fight alongside Fury's army of six to stop Loki, and in return, she will be given every file and piece of information that he has on her. Although she is reluctant to take orders yet again from another large organization, it is the last shot she has in completing her own mission. She intends for this to be her final battle, but she could never have predicted that her time as Hydra's deadliest assassin was only the beginning of her story. In this alternate universe, Loki is sent to Midgard after the fight over the Aether. The Avengers question the Allfather's sanity, but agree they would rather have Loki where they can keep an eye on him. So, after some extensive remodeling, the Avengers Tower and neighboring facilities are now an extensive training ground with everything they'll need to reform the once proud Asgardian prince. Thor is hopeful. He wants the brother he thought Loki was back. Clint (Hawkeye) is waiting for a reason to exact some much deserved revenge. Steve (Captain America) has hope that even the most hardened of evil doers can be changed for the better. No one quite knows what Natasha (Black Widow) is thinking. Tony (Iron Man) resents having to share his tower with a psychopath. Bruce (Hulk) did not fly away to Sakar. He's brooding away in his own private wing. Scott (Antman) is under house arrest... at the tower. Wanda (Scarlet Witch) is still mourning her brother while nurturing a still very naive Vision. (Neither are living in the tower. Will only play small, fleeting parts in this story.) Dr Strange refuses to move into the tower. After all, it is more important to keep up with his work at the Sanctum. Peter (Spiderman) is spending his summer at the Tower, much to the dismay of Aunt May, who knows how dangerous this is, but does not know Loki has returned. Sam (Falcon) will follow Cap to the ends of the earth, but refuses to jump off the proverbial bridge just because Cap's doing it. Bucky (Winter Soldier) is trying to atone for his past misdeeds, while learning what exactly they were, but is living in Wakanda with T-challa (Black Panther) so neither will be playing a large role in this story. Then there's Aite. She's new. She's the Greek goddess of mischief, delusion, folly, and ruin. You'd think her and Loki would be the best of friends... Not so much.
