Everyone always says that death is the end. That it's all over then. But that's a lie. I died. And it was just the beginning.

Life is not a song. It's not as ordered and well thought-out as one. It's disordered and messy. However, sometimes all it takes is some transient courage and somehow it just clicks. It's not a song. You can't sing to it... But maybe it will become a wonderful tune anyway.

In Purgatory, the job of the dead is to help the living transition to the other side. A small crew of "jockeys" take over the bodies of the living during their final few seconds, relieving them of their suffering. Well, that's what Eva thinks. But the mystery is deeper than Eva realizes, and when the life she left behind starts to creep in around the edges, everything she thinks she understands about reality is about to be lost in the fog. ***Standalone short story, first book of the Resurrection Protocols series.***

Somethings lurking far out in the waters are best left alone, though sometimes one gets a bit curious of what might be just below the waters surface and if you are that person make sure you know it might be a one way trip because you might not make it back to shore alive...

There is theory, that when a person experiences a near-death, he or she comes by to a coma, going in an alternate universe where all souls dwell to await their final judgement. The "Borderline" as they call it. In here, they experience "bliss", the perfect description of happiness. That's what they said that you would feel right before you die. But if you're lucky enough, you get to experience it and wake up the next to live to tell them the truth about the afterlife.

Ever heard stories of people who die, but come back to earth? Maybe you've heard of all three afterlives; purgatory, hell, and heaven? Perhaps you learned it from a class about religion in school. Maybe you just saw it in an episode of Supernatural, or on some daytime talk show. Well, I'm here to tell you the only truth I'm certain about: I have been to hell. I'm back. I have unfinished business.
