When Casey and Jasmine Flourse leave their Dad behind on deployment, they embark on an adventure they will never forget! I wrote this when I was about 7 years old in year 3 so it might be quite bad but I'm copying in exact words up to what I got to on the computer ( chapter 2) and making the rest up. I'm Fine. Just Broken. (Major Editing)
I honestly didn't realize how broken I was. I just figured that if I shut all my feelings out that they would go away. They didn't. They came back strong as ever. And I did the worst thing that I could do. I let my feelings get the best of me. My daddy told me to never let anyone walk over me. And yet that is exactly what everybody does. Lorelei and Cora
The story centers around two teenage girls, one named Lorelei and the other named Cora. They are two girls from two different worlds: Cora, who is rich and lives with her mom, and Lorelei, who is poor and lives with her father. Both lose a parent in diverse ways and then go through hell via the parent who stayed to look after them. As Casey fakes her death, and Derek leaves Ella, these situations make Jaylen and Ella abuse their daughters. It was even worse when he met Ella and Cora and began to abuse Cora even more so after the wedding. Despite their shared ordeal, Lorelei and Cora found solace in each other as they confronted the abuses perpetrated by their biological and stepfamily members. The question lingers: Can they escape their dire circumstances and pursue their dreams? Or will they be trapped, unable to break free from the cycle of violence? Join us on this gripping journey to discover what lies ahead for them and the people around them. Please bear with me; this is my first time writing, so please give my story a chance. "Do you have to leave?" I say through tears. "I promise I'll be home before you know it." That's a lie. It'll feel longer than what it actually is. And it will all feel like hell. "I'll be lost and...and...alone without you, Matt" I sob even harder. "Don't say that. You'll have Aunt Kathy and Jo. Trust me when I say this: they know exactly what they're doing. They've been through plenty of these before." I nod, not trusting my voice, afraid I'll break down again. His hand comes to my cheek as he wipes a tear that's falling. His arms then indulge me in a huge hug, his familiar cologne invading my nostrils. "STARKS! We're boarding!" I flinch at the fact that its time to let him go. He kisses the top of my head, "I love you." He whispers in my ear. "I love you too." I respond weakly. "I love you most." And with a final, hard kiss, he walks away from me.
