The President's Daughter.

Being the President's Daughter has it's perks. I live in a huge house and I have a lot of stuff I'm extremely grateful for. On top of all of that, I meet a lot of really cool people. Though there are a lot of obvious perks, there are also a lot of downfalls. I'm almost never alone. I can't just go for a walk or go to the mall. I always have to be with a guard, sometimes even more than one. After a lot of convincing, I am finally being free to attend college. Dad was obviously worried about me leaving, but we made a compromise. I argued that without school, I'd never be anything more than his daughter. He agreed with this. We settle on me attending my dream school, but I have some rules to abide by. For example, I am not allowed to live on campus. Dad got me an apartment near by, and honestly, I'm okay with that rule. The obnoxious rule is that I am not allowed to go alone. My dad's youngest guard is going to be going with me. We worked it out so that he is allowed to go to my classes and such with me, but he's not actually going to be graded. Don't get me wrong, I love the guard. His name is Tyler and he's four years older than me. He's one of my dad's old friends sons, so I've known him practically my whole life. I just hate that I constantly have a babysitter. I'm 18 years old and I always have someone attached to my hip. It makes me feel incompetent. Being yanked from high school at 16 years old sucked. I missed all of the normal teen activities. I don't have friends because I've been homeschooled for 2 years since we moved in the white house. I just need a change. I need to be free, even if it means that I have a tag along. Here's to new adventures, new friendships, and the new me I am going to discover in New York.
