Even with his young heart filled with disdain, it still managed to jolt when Clay first saw the boy. 

"I'm George," the dark-haired boy offered. He held out his hand with a small grin.

Clay looked down at George's hand and decided that it wasn't nearly as pretty now that it was attached to the being that had almost let him be killed.

Clay was born too early which makes him struggle a lot. His daily battle with multiple disabilities doesn't make his life easy and after also being bullied, even by his own brother, he shuts down around almost everyone and develops selective mutism.
