“You can’t keep running away from me forever.” He smiled as he held her close to him, enjoying the small struggle she was putting up.
She met his icy gaze, “Maybe not, but I know how to hide from a Prince.”
He laughed, “You won’t run, trust me. I’ll find you.” He leaned in and brushed a soft kiss to her cheek. He felt her body grow rigid under his touch.
        "Your father doesn’t like this.”
He shrugged, “My father doesn’t like a lot of things.”
She rolled her eyes and held back a small smile, “Are you coming to join us or are you going to stay here and take your place as King?” the conversation grew serious. This time it was his turn for his bones to turn to stone.
“I’m not becoming King,” he said softly, almost angrily. “I don’t want to be controlled by him.” His ice blue eyes flickered over to Castor who was watching the young couple intently.
“Come with me,” he whispered in her ear, “We can't talk about this here.”
He pulled away from her, leaving a hand on the small of her back as he led her out into the gardens. As soon as the darkness overcame the both of them she turned towards him.
“I can’t stay long. Garner only allowed me to come to see if you were joining us.”
His heart ached a little, of course she would only come if Garner told her too. “Right, of course.” He whispered, “Yes. I will join you.”
A small smile crossed her face, “Well, Prince Jackson. Welcome to the rebellion.”
